Guidelines: good resources vs what we reject
Mission Openverse exists to catalogue high-signal, practitioner-focused people & talent resources—especially open, reusable, or transparently licensed material that helps teams ship better HR, learning, and culture work.
Strong examples (submit these)
- Open-source or public-domain tooling and templates (e.g. interview rubrics, onboarding checklists on GitHub, CC-licensed facilitation guides)
- Public playbooks and policy libraries from companies that publish their ways of working (e.g. open handbooks, progression frameworks shared openly)
- Free educational deep dives (blog posts, Notion docs, PDFs) that teach a method—not a sales hook
- Community projects: survey question banks, DEI learning resources, manager enablement kits that are free to use without a forced demo
- Research & benchmarks published for the field (government labour stats, academic summaries with clear licensing)
We decline or remove
- Marketing spam — thin content whose main goal is SEO or brand impressions
- Lead magnets — "download the PDF after 12 form fields" or gated assets where the free value is a teaser only
- Pure vendor pitches — landing pages with no substantive methodology unless the underlying asset is openly usable
- Affiliate funnels — links whose primary purpose is commission, not practitioner value
- Closed paywalls with no legitimate free tier or excerpt that helps someone do the job
- Off-topic material unrelated to people, talent, culture, or org design
- Illegal or non-compliant content; confidential internal docs that should not be public
Licensing & honesty
- State if content is open source, CC-licensed, or company public—do not imply openness when it is proprietary.
- Prefer links where the creator is identifiable; hunting is curation, not republishing without credit.
Quality bar Ask: *Would I send this to another People lead in good faith without embarrassment?* If yes—and it matches the mission—it probably belongs.
Escalation If you are unsure, submit anyway with a clear description; moderators may defer or request edits. For platform rules, see Terms and Privacy.
