Who can vote Signed-in workspace members can upvote resources on Openverse and on individual resource pages. Guests see vote counts but need an account to vote.
How it works
- Upvote to add your support; click again (or use the same control where implemented) to remove your vote.
- One vote per user per resource—duplicate votes are not counted.
Why we use votes Votes are a community quality signal. They help: - Rank resources on Launches - Surface high-signal people & talent references in sort-by-votes views - Reward hunters and authors whose work genuinely helps practitioners
Good practice
- Vote for resources you have used, read, or would recommend
- Do not coordinate bulk voting for placements—that undermines trust
Privacy Votes are tied to your account for deduplication; they are not shown on your public profile as a leaderboard by default.
